Travel with Medical Care

Important Information for Passengers

Passengers with reduced mobility
Kosova Fly is committed to providing comprehensive assistance to passengers with reduced mobility – both at the airport and during the flight.

At airports in Germany, Switzerland and Kosovo, passengers with special needs are assisted by specially trained personnel. Most airports offer wheelchairs, support equipment, and escort services to ensure a smooth and accessible travel experience.

On board, assistance is available as needed, including seats with foldable armrests to make boarding and disembarking easier. Passengers using a wheelchair are advised to report to the check-in desk at least 120 minutes before departure and to notify our team of any special requirements during booking or in advance of the flight.

Travel during pregnancy
Pregnant passengers may travel with Kosova Fly without a medical certificate until the end of the 29th week of pregnancy, provided there are no known complications.
From the 30th week onward, a medical certificate is required, issued by a gynecologist or family doctor, confirming that air travel poses no risk to the mother or baby.

This also applies to complicated or multiple pregnancies (e.g. twins or more).
We recommend consulting your doctor prior to travel and carrying all necessary documentation.

Traveling with medication
If you are carrying medication in your hand luggage – including liquid medicine or injections (e.g. insulin) – we strongly recommend carrying a medical certificate confirming that the items are for personal use. This helps avoid issues during security checks.

In the event that your medication is lost during the journey or at your destination, it is advisable to carry a document containing the following:

  • Blood type

  • Chronic conditions or relevant medical background

  • Medication names (preferably with the international generic name)

  • Exact dosage

  • Ongoing treatments or therapies

Also carry any medical documentation required for treatment or prescription renewal at your destination.

Packing recommendations:

  • Use secure and protective packaging for your medication

  • Distribute medication between multiple pieces of hand luggage in case of delay or loss

  • Bring more medication than needed – ideally 1.5 to 2 times your expected amount – to prepare for possible delays or unforeseen situations

For any special needs or questions, our team is available to assist you before and during your journey.
Your safety and comfort are always our top priority.
